Fire-retardant panels.
Our new range of Dayfor fire-retardant panels aims to meet a growing need for fire protection. To this end, we have developed B-s1 d0 and B-s2 d0 panels finished in HPL, C-s1 d0 panels finished in CPL, and D-s1 d0 panels finished in natural veneers.
These decorative elements are not classified in the same way as fire doors; instead, they use the concept of “reaction to fire”, which assesses a material’s ability to contribute to the development of a fire. Reaction to fire can be A1, A2, B, C, D, E and F: class B is very limited, class C limited, and class D medium; smoke (s, for smoke) rates smoke opacity as s1 low, s2 medium and s3 high; and the falling of flaming droplets or particles (d, for drop) is rated as d0 for none, d1 for medium, and d2 for high.
Standard panels.
When fire certifications are not required, we can choose standard panels. The most common cores are particleboard or MDF (standard, moisture-resistant or fire-retardant), with straight or postformed edges. All of this is covered in our laminated finishes of HPL, CPL or melamine, natural or reconstituted veneers varnished or stained, and lacquered finishes.
Sustainable material.
Our materials and finishes are available with an FSC chain of custody for responsible forest management.
