The University Hospital of Toledo was built by the joint venture formed by Acciona, OHL and Dragados, with a constructed surface of 246,964 m2 on a plot measuring 1,100 meters by 300 meters. It is a functional, technologically advanced building that meets the most demanding criteria of sustainability and energy efficiency.
The architectural design incorporates numerous aspects that according to SESCAM “have a direct impact on the achievement of a humanized hospital environment”. Therefore, among other actions of various kinds, the importance of noise reduction and damping was highlighted. Therefore, the choice of our acoustic doors was one of the solutions. For this work, we decided to create a specific test that could meet all the demands of comfort, durability and performance required by a work of these characteristics. This is how our 30 dB acoustic door with polystyrene core and aluminum frame appeared on the market. his door has a sufficient soundproofing coefficient to maintain conversations quietly inside the offices or to allow rest in the rooms. n addition, its polystyrene core makes it very easy to handle due to its low weight and the aluminum frame makes it resistant where it is most needed and avoids degradation due to humidity and blows from stretchers or users. The HPL finish provides hygiene, robustness and ease of maintenance and conservation, in addition to harmonizing with large and luminous spaces, since its colors were selected under the criterion of chromotherapy.
Considering these characteristics of configuration and finish, we complete the set with doors, hinged and sliding doors, special modular three-leaf doors to allow the widest possible passage, doors adapted to different hardware for its automation and leaded doors of all kinds to protect patients in X-ray rooms.
